Testing & Iteration
Quick Usability Tests
Background
Every experience project should be tested. However, there isn’t always time for a comprehensive test and most of the time, feedback is needed well before something comprehensive can be put together.
My Role
Quick usability tests are not my original idea, however I have found them to be incredibly useful to my process. Throughout my design process I print up some paper prototypes, write some quick tasks and present them to someone to interact with. The feedback I receive along the way is invaluable to making the best experience for the user.
New Found Knowledge
I have found quick tests to be far more effective and conducive to a rapid iterative environment than comprehensive tests, thus I utilize this technique the most often.
